4 Ring Snowflake

This is my latest design, a snowflake.   The rings in the very centre are all split rings.  The rest are straightforward rings and chains.   It is tatted in Twilleys no.20 crochet cotton.  I have now finished working on the instruction diagram and have posted it on my website on the Tatting page.

  1. It's a beautiful snowflake. I like the way that the 4 white rings kind of look like butterflies and the centre looks like a flower. What a wonderful design.

  4. Ha ha! I think it's funny that Sharon said that the "4 white rings kind of look like butterflies and the centre looks like a flower" because I thought that the 4 white rings looked like flowers and the center rings looked like butterflies, LOL!

  5. That's verrrry pretty! I like how the chains in the center seem to make it look solid, but it still has an airy look to it.

  6. Lovely snowflake. I like the 'airy' feeling and how you can use color to make the center 'pop'! Can't wait till you put on paper!

  7. Such a lovely wee snowflake. I have tatted it in Signature (brand) size 20 Egyptian Long Staple cotton thread (a Japanese thread that is approximately size 20) in variegated pale pastel colors. It looks quite stunning!

May I have permission to print out the PDF file and send it along to my thread exchange partners?

I will hand-write the link to your website on the diagram page so my exchange partners can visit your site.
